Fatima Sani Breaks New Record Out Of Law School

A genius, Fatima Bombom Sani, made history on Wednesday, 21 October 2015 when she was honoured with standing ovation by the Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN), Justice Mahmud Mohammed, other members of the Body of Benchers (BOB) and the Council of Legal Education (CLE), other dignitaries and the new wigs (her colleagues just called to Bar). Fatima broke existing record in the Nigeria Law School by bagging nine separate awards compared to existing record of seven awards ever received at the Call to Bar of Nigerian Law School.
The awards include the “Best Student of the Year (1st Prize)’’ donated by Sir Adetokunbo Ademola , Dr. Taslim Elias and Justice Atanda Fatayi-Williams; the ‘’Council of Education Star Award’’; Corporate Law Practice donated by Chief Adegboyega Awomolo SAN; Best Overall Female Student of the year award donated by National Association of Women Judges; and Best Female Student in Criminal Litigation award donated by Mrs. Oluwatoyin Doherty.

Annie Idibia Goes Bald for Cancer

Wife of celebrated hip-hop singer, 2Face idibia, Annie Idibia, has shaved her hair in a bid to create awareness for breast cancer among women in the society and the importance of early detection through regular check-ups.
The month of October is mostly dedicated for the campaign and since the beginning of the month, several campaigns have been organised for cancer awareness.
The likes of Chioma Akpota, Omoni Oboli, Halima Abubakar, Chidinma Ekile and many others have participated in their campaigns for cancer in October 2015.
Annie, as part of her own contribution, shaved her hair.

Pioneer Nollywood Movie, 'Living In Bondage' To Be Remade By Ramsey Nouah

Remember this classic 20th century blockbuster? The movie is going to be remade with 21st century technology for our viewing pleasure! Living In Bondage was produced in Igbo language and released 1992 by Nollywood practitioner Kenneth Nnegbue, and it starred actors like Kenneth Okonkwo (Andy), Kanayo O Kanayo, Bob Manuel-Udokwu, Ngozi Nwosu, Rita Nzelu, Francis Duru etc
Now, veteran Nollywod actor Ramsey Nouah alongside entertainment and business mogul Charles Okpaleke are coming together for the rebirth of the first successful Nollywood movie.
Both Nouah and Okpaleke are said to have bought the rights to redo the movie from the owner and producer, Kenneth Nnegbue and production of the movie will commence in 2016.

In July 2015, son of Fred Amata and Agatha, Oreva, graduated from a UK university with a first class in Economics. The former husband and wife were present at the graduation ceremony, but we learnt they did not go along with other or rekindle old flames during the occasion. After the graduation, a boat party was organised to celebrate with Oreva, which both Fred and Agatha attended However, at the boat party, Fred and his former wife sat apart and even backed each other. Ali Baba Gives Conditions To Colleagues

It is no longer business as usual for those who wish to thrill guests at the shows organised by ace comedian, Ali Baba.
The humour merchant said henceforth, any comedian aiming to perform at his annual shows must wear tuxedo.
He said this would be hammered on by him from 2016.
“The year is grinding to our New Year Concert and at the January 1st Concert 2015, we allowed comedians and artistes come on the stage without the accepted tuxedo or evening gown. EDI Lawani said they were not informed early enough. In the 2016 event, we will be strict. The event is a class act. You either wear a dinner suit or forget about gracing our stage with your act.
“By this notice, we have given artistes and comedians performing enough time to get fashion houses to clothe them. Now you have it in black and white; tuxedo or forget performing at January 1st Concert 2016,” the acclaimed king of Nigeria’s comedy said.

Movie star, Stephanie Linus, has joined those clamouring for more participation of women in the Nigerian politics.
The filmmaker, while speaking on a radio programme called ‘Talk Your Own-Make Naija Better’, said to have a more conducive environment for all, men and women need to come together and work to make great things happen.
She advocated for more involvement of women in politics to build a great future as well as support each other.
“When we all participate in our government, we create better lives for ourselves and our children.
