Concentrate on the World Cup Now-Dalung

The Nigeria Football Federation has been urged to shelve all plans for elections into the next board and concentrate on the forth coming FIFA World Cup in Russia.
The Minister of Youth and Sports Barrister Solomon Dalung made the remark in Port Harcourt after the Super Eagles were held to a 1-1 draw by visiting Simba of DR Congo in a farewell/ friendly game at the Adokiye Amesiemeka stadium.
The Minister noted that the Federal government has invested so much towards qualifying and achieving a respectable World Cup result, stressing that a call for purchase of forms and setting up of an electoral committee at this time was a distraction to the team's preparation.
"The NFF should put everything concerning elections and electoral committees on hold and concentrate on the World Cup preparation which is more important to the passion of the country.
"The country has invested so much right from the campaign for a ticket till date so we cannot afford any distractions in the name…

Fashion blogger, Laura Ikeji, has announced that her sister Linda Ikeji who is a popular blogger is pregnant and expecting her first child.

This was gathered via her sister’s Instagram page where, she posted pregnant picture of Linda with a caption titled: see who’s gonna be a mummy, Congrats Lin .
Recall that the popular Nigerian blogger, Linda Ikeji went off market after she got “hooked” by her former boyfriend.

Gov. wike restoring portharcourt garden city status

Governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike has declared that his administration is working round the clock to restore the lost glory of Port Harcourt as the nation's Garden City. Gov. I’ve been racially abused in Russia- Bryan Idowu

Super Eagles World Cup hopeful, Bryan Idowu has been speaking about racial abuse amongst Russian football fans.
Idowu who had his first appearance for the Super Eagles in the friendly against Argentina was born and raised in St. Petersburg and knows all about racism in Russia.
As a young player for Zenit St. Petersburg, a club with a far-right fan base, Idowu was abused by a supporter while returning from training.
“There’s no black in Zenit’s colors,” he recalls the fan saying. “’What’s going on there, and why are you in the kit?’ My friend got angrier than I did. I just responded with a smile.”
Six weeks ahead of the World Cup, FIFA is investigating Russia over monkey chants aimed at France players during a friendly in March. Last month, the Russian Football Union fined two top clubs, Zenit and Spartak Moscow, for racist chants.
