Veteran Nigerian Disc Jockey (DJ) Jimmy Amu, popularly called Cool DJ Jimmy Jatt was cynosure of all eyes as friends and family gathered to celebrate him during the launch of his album ‘The Industry’, which was held recently at the Intercontinental Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos.

Speaking on his reasons behind him using glasses all the time, the respected DJ said it is because of his eye defect, short sightedness.

Jimmy further revealed that apart from the lens which he wears always, he also does not do without his cap because he is a shy person.

Jatt has performed on the same stage with American singers, including Usher Raymond, Shaggy, Eve, KC and Jojo, Naughty by Nature, Carog Wheeler, Magic System and David Hyden, Sean Paul, and a host of others.

Nollywood actress, Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde, has praised the improved power supply in Lagos recently.

The actress, who just returned from a family vacation in South Africa, took to her social media page to express her observation about the power supply situation.

Sultry actress, Benita Nzeribe, has disclosed that her favourite style as a lady is English wears, which she says is determined by her comfort and atmosphere.

According to the lovely actress, who said she can never be caught wearing extremely short cloths, she has many wears in her wardrobe. Benita added that she does not joke with brown colours. She observed that some Nigerians dress abnormally, stating that she can also never be caught wearing an ankle boot in a very hot afternoon.

The actress disclosed further that though she loves fashion accessories, especially wrist watches, but can never spend a fortune to obtain one, saying her expensive diamond wrist watch was given to her as a gift.

Nigerian OAPs Charge Too High To Play Artistes’ Songs—Michael Odiong

Manager of foremost music company in the country, Premier Music Limited, Michael Odiong, says one of the challenges facing the music industry is the amount being charged by On-Air-Personalities (OAP).

According to Odiong, most up and coming artistes find it difficult to break through the industry because they cannot afford to pay the high amount being demanded from them before getting their sings played on air.

Though he praised the rapid growth the music industry is currently experiencing in Nigeria, but he emphasized that OAPs should also help the young artistes’ careers and stop requesting for money to play uncreative songs.

Odiong added that though the trend of high charges by OAPs might be saddening, yet there are some professional OAPs that prefer good music to money.

I Was Hospitalised After My Marriage Ended- Comedienne Princess

Popular Comedienne Princess whose marriage wasn't up to a month before it ended few months ago said she was hospitalised after the incident. She said the marriage ended few days after they got married but she couldn't tell anyone because of the shame.

"E no reach make I sick? After my husband left after our wedding, was it not enough reason for me to be sick? Ah! the lord is our strength".

She said she was shocked at the publicity that generated from the issue, many people were happy for her, while some felt pity for her. The comedienne said she got married to the man she loved but their marriage ended because of irreconcilable differences. However she admitted that for a marriage to end is not a thing of joy and no one should make mockery of anyone whose marriage ended because the person is mocking God.

The pretty comedienne said she is not planning to give marriage a shot any soon.

Popular Nigerian comedian, Emeka Adigwu, a.k.a Emeka Smith, has disclosed that one of the things he would like to change about his wife, Prisca, is her shopping habits.

According to the comedian, his wife likes shopping that she buys many irrelevant things, which is not nice. “I would like to change her from shopping too much. She buys irrelevant things.”

Emeka, speaking further, attested that he truly loves his wife, but disclosed his wife is in the habit of telling him to come over to Dublin.

On Saturday evening, reported the death of 2Face Idibia’s father, Pa Michael Idibia, who passed on at a hospital in Abuja after battling with cancer for a while. He was 68 years old.

The family has released a statement and has begged for privacy from members of the public as they mourn the man.

According to the press statement issued by the Idibia Family, "With sadness in our hearts, but with gratitude to God for a life well spent, we announce the passing on of our father, brother, uncle and in-law, Mr. Michael Agbo Idibia, a native of Okpokwu Edumoga in Benue State.

“Born on July 25, 1946, Mr. Idibia is an alumnus of Kansas State University, USA, and retired from the Ministry of Agriculture, Makurdi, Benue State.

Veteran Nigerian actress, Hilda Dokubo, has disclosed that the movie industry in Nigeria called Nollywood has now been taken over by mediocres.

Omoni Oboli Blasts Critics Over Directing Job

Popular Nollywood actress and television personality, Ireti Doyle, has said that skin bleaching is a personal choice.

According to her, people are now enlightened as to the consequences of bleaching.

I Won’t Join Politics Because I’m Creative Minded—Ramsey Nouah

Nollywood actor, Ramsey Nouah, has disclosed that he will not go into politics just like his colleagues who are embracing the profession.

Ramsey stated that he is a serious minded person and as such, does not have the time for politics.

According to the actor, “I am a creative minded person. But the truth I have come to understand is that you could say ‘I will never be there’ but circumstances might even make you do things. Personally, I’m not a keen person, I am not very good at dealing with politics, it is really tough for me.”

He said actors campaign for politicians as their own way of showing support for who they feel is capable of leading the people.
