No beef between Waconzy and Burna Boy

With hit singles like Tonight and Love to Party, it is no surprise that Burna Boy’s album is highly anticipated by fans.
When his L. I. F. E album dropped recently, it was well received by fans. However, some raised eyebrows when they listened to his No No No track where he mentioned one of Nigeria’s reigning artistes, Waconzy.  Waconzy is one of the few successful artistes from Port Harcourt.
Some fans were curious to know what he said about Waconzy whose club banger, Celebrate put Port Harcourt on the Nigerian music map.
When we got in touch with Burna Boy’s camp, they said that the song was not meant to insult Waconzy in any way.
Burna Boy claimed that Waconzy has had heard the song and that they are good friends. We Burna Boy did an accapella of the song in Port Harcourt. further learnt that the song was produced in 2011 and both singers have now relocated to Lagos alongside their colleagues, Timaya and Duncan Mighty.

How long have you been singing?

I started singing at Sunday school service in the church; my mum was the choir mistress, so singing is what has been part of my family because it has been in our vein.

Is music a career to you or what?

Music is my life, music is something I love doing, like I said earlier, I grow up in a family where music runs through us, music is my passion and it’s what I love doing, can’t stop doing music, I have to keep doing it because I love to do it and isn’t that I don’t have other things doing but basically I can’t leave music and music can’t leave me because it’s my passion and I…

Port harcourt Artistes Relocate To Lagos

In recent times ,many Port Harcourt based music stars have relocated to Lagos to pursue their career. The main reason we gathered is to seek greener pastures. Over the years, Garden City based artistes have not been able to make money just like their Lagos based counterparts who are out-doing each other spending heavily acquiring houses and latest automobiles. Though this city is blessed with a large number of talented artistes, they however struggle to get big marketers to invest in their arts. Another reason why many of them don’t make money is the availability of limited paid shows. The show promoters in Port Harcourt would rather spend big cash bringing Lagos based acts to the city, than paying the local artistes. Consequently , they tend to have the local artistes on their shows for free. The absence of good record labels in the city is another factor affecting the growth of the industry. Most of artistes in the city invest their money on their projects without …

God’s Favour and Hardwork Made ‘Limpopo’ A Huge Success -Kcee Confesses

No doubt, every music artiste that storms the studio to put up vocals on beats always boasts of how the song will be accepted even before it hits the radio stations.

You get to hear phrases like ‘I just cooked a mad jam’, ‘this song will surely be a hit’, ‘just left the studio doing a mad song’ and so on, but not all eventually turn out to impress their close associates or family members, let alone the general public.

In 2002, KC Presh, which consists of two singers, emerged the debut winner of the Star Quest Music Talent Hunt Competition. Since then, they struggled to hit the mainstream, but this was not to be and they went their separate ways in 2011, when the centre could no longer hold for them as a singing duo.

But since then, only KCee has stolen the hearts of many music lovers even across Africa, but Presh has not been able to make much impact in the music industry.

After the release of ‘Okpekete’, KCee released ‘Limpopo’, which has now fetched him an endorse…

Here is the message:

Today, I thought of many things I would love to have as birthday gifts and the many dreams I’m still pursuing.

In all of this I’m not losing sight of the fact that if not for God I might have ended up on the street like the many kids and young adults begging for food and some pr0stituting to make ends meet.

If we know the circumstances that force some of these people on the street we would spare a thought for them. I am where I am today purely by the grace of God and the grace of the people who believed in me from the word go.

Reasons Entertainers' Marriages Are Crashing --Basorge Tariah Jnr

This succinct yet modest assertion was how the top actor-cum-comedian, Basoene Kelsey Tariah Jnr, popularly known as Basorge, captured the causes of most celebrity failed marriages.

What do you think is the cause of incessant marriage breakups?

I think most people don’t differentiate being a superstar and a spouse. Most people live their lives, in and outside as superstars, even to the closest person to them. You want everybody to see you as a superstar and your partner might not be comfortable with that.

For instance, I meet Nollywood actress, Chioma Chukwuka very often in the market. She is homely and very down to earth. She is one woman that doesn’t carry the star mentality in her head. Sadly, most artistes can’t even go to the market? They can’t even go to the supermarket to buy things for themselves and for the family, not to talk of cleaning the house.

So they end up turning the other partner to houseboy or house girl! The function and responsibility of marriage is …

The youngest among six children, Chief (Dr) Innocent Ifediaso Chukwuma (OFR), was born into the family of Mr & Mrs Chukwuma Mojekwu of Uru-Umudim, Nnewi, in Anambra State, without the proverbial silver spoon in his mouth.

But, what he lacked in affluent parental background, he made up for with intelligence, hard-work, discipline and business acumen – qualities that have continued to interplay remarkably in his many ventures.

In February 2007, Chukwuma embarked on what some analysts perceived then as a mission impossible, when it incorporated INNOSON Vehicle Manufacturing Company Limited (IVM), to produce sundry commercial automobiles, utility vehicles and passenger cars, in collaboration with a consortium of Chinese auto manufacturers.

With the public display of some of the vehicles at the 2nd Nnewi International Auto Trade Fair held at the Beverly Hills Hotels (Gabros Sports Complex) in the last quarter of 2009, IVM did not only silence the critics, but made a bold…
