Why I May Never Consider Politics—AY Reveals

Top comedian, Ayo Makun, better known as AY, has stated one of the reasons he may never want to venture into politics as some of his colleagues are doing.
AY spoke on the backdrop of the controversies that trailed the just-concluded Best of Nollywood Awards (BON), where the Governor of Rivers State, Rotimi Amaechi was accused of insulting those in the movie industry in Nigeria.
Reacting to the issue, AY said he may not consider going into politics because some people will like to misquote him in order to put him into trouble. He noted that during the cause of his work, he has made more enemies than friends.
AY, who won at the award ceremony, said with that kind of attitude, Nollywood may never grow. “I have made and acquired more enemies than friends as a result of lies that received negative baptism of fire to become facts,” the comedian said.
He said with the recent development, it might be difficult for top government officials to invite Nollywood for another event.

Regina Askia Volunteers To Take Care Of Ebola Patients In New York

Nollywood actress/ beauty queen who is now a nurse, Regina Askia has made a brave and touching move to work at a US Ebola Center. The actress who works at a hospital in New York was asked to look for volunteers to work at the center, but on a second thought, the mother of three decided to join the train as a volunteer .
Despite the fears that come with knowing the virus is close by, the actress cum nurse still didn't mind and decided to serve the people.
She said at first, there was no female that volunteered to join the force, nevertheless she made the move. Kehinde Oshadipe Takes Custody Of Late Twin Sister’s Son

One half of the Oshadipe Twins, Taiwo, died after she reportedly complained of pain in her body. She precisely died on Friday, October 3, 2014. Her death shocked the industry, including her twin sister, Kehinde, and their manager, Olumide Akinsanya, who wedding was then some days away. Before her death, she gave birth to a son, but unfortunately, the boy will grow without the care of her biological mother.
According to a report, Kehinde has taken custody of the child left behind by her late twin sister. It was also reported that the 31-year-old lady now lives with her parents at their Abule-Egba house in Lagos.
It was learnt that Kehinde has tried to move on with her life and has ensured that her nephew gets the best motherly care he deserves.
