As part of 10-Years Coronation Anniversary activities, Ooni of Ife honouring Ifes who have made Ilé-Ifè proud.


His Imperial Majesty, Ooni Adeyeye Babatunde Enitan Ogunwusi, Ojaja II, honours some Ife sons and daughters at the Gala Night under the auspices of A DAY WITH OJAJA II. 


One of the daughters honoured yesterday is Princess Funke Kudirah Arogundade, a promising female footballer who represented the Nigerian female football team at the FIFA U-17 World Cup in the Dominican Republic in 2024. With jersey number was 14.


This award attests to the fact that Ooni Ogunwusi, Ojaja II, acknowledges the youth's innovation, creativity, and achievements in moving the nation forward. Not only that, Ooni was pleased to honour her because she has taken Ile-Ife to the global stage through sport.


Kudirat Arogundade, Her father, the Late ASP Lateef Adedire, hailed from the Moleyo Royal Family of the Ogbooru Ruling House, and her mother, Mrs. Florence Taiwo Arogundade, hailed from Obalaye Lubo of Atiba.
