Two days ago, Ebonyi State Police command today arrested the General Overseer of Champions Of the Truth Ministry Abakaliki, Bishop Sam Ndibueze Okorie Onyagoziri, for allegations of sexual assault.
A 22 years old sickle cell carrier named Euphemia Ede from Ezza South in Ebonyi State reported him for deceiving her that if he slept with her everyday for 7 days in a row, she will change from SS to AA.
She said her parents were desperate to get a cure for condition after 3 of her siblings to sickle cell and she's the only remaining child and they took her to his church only for him to take advantage of her condition.
She said after fulfilling her part of the agreement and nothing changed, she threatened to report him and he threatened her with a rifle to shoot her if she does.
Police spokesperson, Joshua Ukandu, confirmed on Friday that the cleric was picked up on Wednesday and remains in custody. “We have commenced an investigation and he will definitely be arraigned upon the conclusion of our findings,” Ukandu stated.
