Imo Outlaws Nursery, primary, and JSS3 Graduation Ceremonies /Parties

Henceforth in Imo State , Nursery, Kindergarten and JSS 3 Schools have been banned from organizing graduation ceremonies and parties for their pupils. The Directive issued by the Ministry of Education applies to both private and public schools. Perhaps reacting to the ostentation way it's now taken , the government says that graduation parties are now restricted to Primary 6 and Senior Secondary School 3 (SSS3) pupils, in line with Nigeria’s 6-3-3-4 education policy. The directives reads, “Graduation ceremonies and parties for Kindergarten, Nursery and Junior Secondary School 3 students are hereby abolished. This policy aims to ensure that students, parents, guardians, stakeholders, and schools focus on students' academic achievements at the end of their primary and secondary education cycles.”
