How Corper Brown Transformed Four Block Class Rooms in Bauelsa

NYSC corps member Brown Ebubechukwu visited a school in Bayelsa and saw pupils learning in roofless, flooded classrooms, drenched and trying to protect their books. The broken windows and missing doors left a strong impression on him. Originally assigned to the Nigeria Police Command and planning an anti-cultism project, he changed his plan after witnessing the school’s state. He worked with the school and gathered support to take action. Brown renovated the classrooms, added new roofs, installed 24 windows, 9 doors, PVC ceilings, and repainted the entire block including the admin office. The transformation gave the school a fresh start. What was once a forgotten place is now a safe and comfortable space for learning. One corps member’s compassion turned hardship into hope for the pupils.
