From Security Guard to a member of the Creative Department.

This is the Mr. Abubakar (on sky blue) CEO of Sterling Bank Plc with a security guard at Sterling Bank. Mr. Obadiah (on red) worked as a security guard with Sterling Bank until the day this picture was taken. Everything changed afterwards. Sterling Bank runs a business and tech hub called Cafe One. The manager of Cafe One, VI Branch, had gone to Sterling Bank’s office in VI on of the days and had an interaction with Obadiah. Casually he took Obadiah’s contact and both of them saved each other’s contact. One day, he was viewing Obadiah’s status and saw that he posted some artwork on his status. He called him to confirm if he was the one that did it, and Obadiah said YES. Few months ago, he reached out Obadiah if he could come and do a mural painting at the Cafe One office. He obliged and did a great job. Fast forward to last week, the CEO of Sterling Bank came for a visit at the Cafe One office and took notice of the painting. He asked the manager who did the painting, and was told it was a security guard in his bank. He immediately requested to see Mr. Obadiah. He arrived and had a short conversation with Mr. Abubakar, the CEO. Immediately, he was offered a full time job with Sterling Bsnk Plc in the Creative Department. That’s from Security Guard to a member of the Creative Department. That’s from an outsourced (contract staff) to a full time staff of a global financial institution. Opportunities will always come our way if we execute excellently the little responsibilities given to us. Congratulations, Mr. Obadiah. And to everyone looking for bigger opportunities, I encourage you to execute excellence in the little thing you have now. thesalesguru
