The Elulu of Mopa, and Chairman, Mopamuro Local Government Traditional Council, His Royal Majesty, Oba Muyiwa Ibeun, has hosted a Praise Night in conjunction with the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Mopamuro branch, as part of events scheduled to celebrate his first anniversary on the throne of his forefathers.
The event, which brought together all Christians of different denominations in the local government to celebrate the faithfulness of God upon their monarch, who has brought to bear the twenty-first-century ideology that is transforming the community already.
In his sermon with the theme: The Reason of Thanksgiving, Pastor Emmanuel Olorunda said it is one of the pillars of the Christian faith to give thanks as exemplified by the Lord Jesus Christ in the book St John 4:13.
Reflecting on Oba Ibeun’s commitment to faith and spiritual guidance, he decided to embark on the Praise and Thanksgiving night program to return all glory to God, who made it possible to witness his first anniversary.
He urged everyone to embrace the attitude of thanksgiving like the monarch to get more from God, even though he is a king, he realized that God is still the King of Kings.
The event brought together the community to celebrate Oba Ibeun’s achievements and initiatives during his first year. It served as a platform for the monarch to express gratitude to his subjects and reaffirm his dedication to Mopa’s progress.
The Praise Night celebration showcased the community’s unity and support for Oba Ibeun’s reign, highlighting their expectations for continued development and growth under his leadership.
The event continues today, where dignitaries like the Executive Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Usman Ododo, former Governor Yahaya Bello, the Ooni of Ife, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Enitan Ogunwusi, Ojaja the second, and others from all walks of life will grace the elaborate event.
