Vincent Enyeama: “When I met Leo Messi at the World Cup, I told him: ‘Messi, I want your jersey after the match.’ He said: ‘Hello, you will also give me your jersey.’ So I replied, ‘Of course.’ At the end of the match, we went to the tunnel, and I found Messi waiting for me. He gave me a new jersey with his name and another jersey signed by all the Argentine players.
“He said, ‘The first one is for you, and the second one, sell it and do something charitable for people in need in your country.’ It didn’t take 24 hours before I started receiving offers from photographers and companies to buy it. I eventually sold it to a well-known photography company. Messi is a great player and an emotional person who loves doing good for people. I am very proud of him.”
