Nff approve the appointment of foreign coach for super falcons

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) is set to announce the appointment of a foreign technical adviser for the country's senior women's football team, Super Falcons.

This was made known via a press release statement after the NFF held an Executive Committee meeting at the Plateau State Governor's Lodge on Wednesday, October 18.
.
During the meeting, the football body approved the appointment of Randy Waldrum of USA as the Head Coach of the Super Falcons, following the recommendation of its Technical Development Committee.
.
Waldrum, a 61-year-old former midfielder is no stranger to the women's game, having taking charge of several female football teams in his coaching career.
.
He has coached the University of Tulsa, Baylor University, University of Notre Dame in the U.S; Trinidad and Tobago women's national team and Houston Dash in the National Women's Soccer League.
.
He will succeed interim coach Florence Omagbemi who guided the Falcons to an unprecedented eighth African Women's Cup of Nations (AWCON) in Cameroon last year.

His first assignment as coach of Super Falcons will be against either Burkina Faso or Gambia in the second round qualifiers for the 2018 AWCON in Ghana where the team will bid to qualify for the 2019 FIFA Women's World Cup in France.
