Renowned saxophonist Yemi Sax loses dad to brief illness



Popular Nigerian saxophonist, Yemi Sax has lost his father Prince Samuel Adetunji Adeosun, one of the early gospel musicians in Nigerian.
Prince Adeosun died in the early hours of Tuesday June 28, 2016 after a brief illness at the age of 94.

Announcing the death of his dad, Yemi Sax wrote, ‘RIP DADDY. With great gratitude to God we announce the passing unto glory of my dad. A father, grandfather, and great grand father. Prince Samuel Adetunji Adeosun who  passed on at the early hours of today. A retired Savannah Bank Executive, a great music composer, pianist,organist, and former Choirmaster CAC Alagomeji Yaba Lagos.A GREAT SOUL HAS DEPARTED but the memories shall never fade. May your soul rest in peace Daddy. It is well’.

Pa Samuel Adeosun was a close friend of the late Juju legend IK Dairy. He came to limelight through the choir of Christ Apostolic Choir (CAC) Alagomeji, Yaba where he composed many gospel songs that has since become the church’s main songs for evangelism.
