Chairperson of the Nigerian women football league and member of the Nigerian football Federation Dilichukwu Onyedinma has warned the Super falcons from growing complacent after the team’s gallant effort in the group stage opener against Sweden women national team.
Dilichukwu told www.footballlive.ng that more importantly is the need for the team not to get too carried away by the opportunity to qualify from the group stage through the best loser position because of a change in competition format which allows for more teams to qualify.
She stressed that if the Super Falcons  qualify from the group, then the opportunity are limitless.
‘ No team is a walkover in cup competitions these days and at the World Cup every team is well prepared and it’ll be a misconception to assume that you stand an easy chance of progressing in the competition because of the increased number of participating teams.
‘ The mentality we want from our girls is to fight for every game and we believe if we qualify from the group,  the sky will be our limit.’
