That Bayern Munich football star, David Olatokunbo Alaba is a 
Nigerian is a public Knowledge, what is however news is that is father 
is a Nigerian singer and Dj, George Alaba known by his stage name, 
Inferno, who became popular in the Nigeria music scene in the 90’s with 
his hit song “ Wadada”. Though he was based in Austria at that time, the
 music rocked the airwaves for many years in Nigeria . Inferno , who has
 worked in several night clubs in Austria as Dj , has retired from music
 to be his son’s agent and manager . And luckily for him, his son , 
David is one of the most sought-after left backs in the world. David 
Alaba began his career with SV Aspern, his local club in Aspern, in the 
22nd district, Donaustadt, before joining the youth setup of FK Austria 
Wien at age 10. He rose through the ranks quickly, and in April 2008 he 
was named on the first-team substitutes’ bench for a Bundesliga match. 
He also played five times for Austria Wien’s reserve team, before 
leaving in summer 2008 to join German Bundesliga side Bayern Munich. 
Alaba was born in Vienna to Gina and George Alaba and has one sister. 
His mother emigrated from the Philippines to work as a nurse, his Yoruba
 Nigerian father is a prince from Ogere who is also a rapper and works 
as a DJ. He is a Christian and a member of the Seventh-day Adventist 
Church.His middle name “Olatokunbo” means “Wealth from across the sea” 
or “Wealth from a foreign land” in the Yoruba language.
