WE FOUGHT HARD AGAINST CATALUNYA -BRIGHT DIKE



Portland Timber of USA striker, Bright Dike says the Super Eagles worked hard to secure a 1-1 draw in the friendly game against a Cataluña selected IX Wednesday night.

Speaking with www.brilafm.net shortly after the game, Dike stated that playing against their opponents was not easy.

“The boys worked hard and in the early stages, they gave us a hard time but we fought and came back into the game to get a goal”

The Portland attacker further stated that the team will head towards the AFCON tournament with a belief that they can win the competition.

“We’re heading to the tournament believing that we are going to win it and that’s the same with everybody in the camp and so if we can work for each other, we will accomplish it”

The same optimism was shared by teammate and SS Lazio midfielder, Eddy Onazi who also featured for the Eagles in the 1-1 draw says they did their best, although they made little mistakes.

“We did our best although we made little mistakes but as times goes on we’ll rectify the lapses”
The Lazio prodigy stated how optimist he is when asserted that the team is perfect for the Africa Cup of Nations.

“We are playing as a team right now and I believe the squad is a perfect one for this month's Nations cup in South Africa.

The Super Eagles of Nigeria will on Thursday evening return to their base in Faro, Portugal after the 1-1 draw secured in the friendly with Catalonia. The team is expected to depart Barcelona for Lisbon, capital city of Portugal before connecting a flight to Faro.
The Super Eagles’ coaching crew has decided to have a classroom session with the team on return to Faro where they will watch the clip of the Catalonia friendly and highlight lapses and make correction.
