Makeup are care substances used to enhance the appearance of the human body. They are generally mixtures of chemical compounds, some being derived from natural sources, many being synthetic. (Wikipedia) Wearing makeup is common place in today's society, worn for anything from a day at work to a formal night out. However, if you're a newcomer to the world of cosmetics, you may find yourself at a loss with the infinite varieties of makeup and styles that can be found. Luckily, it's not too difficult to learn what the most elementary makeup products are, and how to use each one. MAKEUP PRODUCTS (A-Must-Have) Set of brushes: It consist of powder, blush, foundation, eyeshadow, lip, contour brushes etc. Face Primer: Comes in various formulas to suit individual skin conditions. Most are meant to be a barrier between the face & the makeup, prolong the wear of makeup, and allow for a smoother application of makeup, and are applied before foundation. Lipstick, lip stain, lip gloss, lip liner, lip balm & lip primer: Lipsticks are intended to add colour and texture to the lips and often come in a wide range of colours. Lip stains have a water or gel base and may contain alcohol to help the product stay on the lips. The idea behind lip stains is to temporarily saturate the lips with a dye. Lip glosses are intended to add shine to the lips, and may also add a tint of colour, as well as being scented or flavoured. Lip balms are most often used to moisturize and protect the lips. Lip liners are use to outline the lips Concealer: used to cover any imperfections of the skin. Concealer is often used for any extra coverage needed to cover blemishes, under eye circles, and other imperfections. Concealer is often thicker and more solid than foundation, and provides longer lasting, more detailed coverage. Foundation: Used to smooth out the face and cover spots or uneven skin colouration. Usually a liquid, cream, or powder, as well as most recently a light and fluffy mousse. Foundation provides coverage from sheer to full depending on preference. It is applied before the face powder. Face powder: used to set the foundation, giving it a matte finish, and also to conceal small flaws or blemishes. It may be in compact or loosed form. Blush or blusher: Cheek coloring used to bring out the color in the cheeks and make the cheekbones appear more defined. Bronzer: Used to give skin a bit of color by adding a golden or bronze glow, as well as being used for contouring. Mascara: Used to darken, lengthen, thicken, or draw attention to the eyelashes. It is available in natural colors such as brown and black, but also comes in bolder colors such as blue or purple. There are many different formulas, including waterproof versions for those prone to allergies or sudden tears. Many mascaras now have certain components intended to help lashes appear longer and thicker. Eyeliner: Used to enhance and elongate the size of the eye. Eyebrow pencils, gels and powders: Used to color and define the brows. Eyeshadow primer: Help eye shadows stay on for much longer. Eyeshadows: Used to colour the eyelids. They come in powder or creamy forms with some hving shimmers for more dramatic look. How to Apply Makeup 10 minutes is all it takes for perfect daytime makeup
 1. Face primer: starting with a clean face, apply a face primer .
 2. Concealer: apply concealer with your ring finger to the spots that need it most (under the eye). Blend in by patting in, never rubbing, the concealer. I like to use a concealer brush to apply concealer. I find it works better than my finger to get into the spots I need it most.
 3. Foundation is Next: Apply foundation (with your fingertips or foundation brush) to your face making sure to blend along the jawline so you don't have a tell-tale line. Simply apply where you have uneven skin tone. Keep in mind that your foundation should be the same color as your natural skin tone, not much darker or lighter.
 4. Fill in your eyebrows: fill in your eyebrows with a BROWN eyebrow pencil, eyebrow filler or powder depending on the fullness of your eyebrows. Select a colour of brow pencil or powder that is close to your natural hair colour. (Light brown or brown for a fair person, brown for chocolate skin & dark brown for a dark skin). Do not use red, wine or black pencils on your eyebrow.
5. Prime Your eyelids: If you wear eyeshadow, be sure to set the eye first with an eyeshadow primer, otherwise the shadow will melt into your eyelids.
 6. Shade in Your Lids With Eyeshadow: There are many ways to apply eyeshadow, although the most basic and classic look is to apply a single color over the entirety of your eyelid. Use an eyeshadow brush to apply your eyeshadow to your eyelid. Apply a darker contouring shadow in the crease of the eyes using your contour brush in a "C" shape. Make sure to blend it all in well. Your eyeshadow should never go all the way to your eyebrow, and should not extend further of your lid than the end of your eyebrow (unless you’re going for a very dramatic look). After applying the eyeshadow, you highlight by applying a little of either gold, peach, cream or white shadows (which shimmer) on your brow bone, blending it all over the brow bone.
 7. Apply Eyeliner: Now that your face is set, apply eyeliner to lids. There are many different ways to apply eyeliner. You can go for the basic eye, a smokey eye, a cat eye and much more. For a basic eye, simply apply liner to the upper lashes and the lower lashes, smudging along the lower so it doesn't look drawn on.
 8. Move on to Mascara: Apply mascara by wiggling the wand from the roots of your lashes on through to the ends. There are several mascaras to choose from depending on the look you want; if you have short lashes, use a mascara that will add length, or if you have thin lashes, use a volumizing mascara. Dip the brush in the mascara once and lightly wipe off the excess onto the edge of the container or a paper towel.
 9. Your Lips: Once you have your face made up you can see exactly what type of lip treatment you need. You can either fill in lips with lip liner and apply lip balm or gloss over it, or you can line lips first then apply lipstick. Some women opt for just gloss or balm.
10. Set Your Makeup: Set your face with your shade of face powder to hold your foundation and for a long lasting makeup.
11. Blush, Bronzer: Apply blush on the apples of your cheeks and along your cheek bone. If you want to appear sun-kissed, apply a bronzer as well. Bronzer is applied on the T-zone; the T-zone is the part of your face consisting of the forehead, nose and the area around your mouth, including the chin. It is so named because it's shaped like the letter 'T'." Keep in mind that you should always remove your makeup at the end of the day; sleeping with your makeup on can clog your pores and cause blemishes and wrinkles.
