Dayo Adeneye and his partner Kenny Ogunbe of Kennis Music has
done a lot of job on some artiste in Nigeria today under the limelight
of Kennis Music record label. Some artistes who were under the label
before they became famous were 2face, Sound Sultan, Jaywon, Kelly
Hansome etc However most artists have for one reason or the other left
the label.
Many people ponder on why artistes leave their record label and what must have conspired between the record label owners and the artiste, but some hardly state the real reason. Dayo Adeneye has come out to say that it is always painful when artistes leave a record label. He noted that it is sometimes discouraging.
According to him, it is like watching a child you’ve raised,he goes through college, university; then gets married, somebody takes them off you, but however, one has to let them go, if you love them. He said most of them show appreciation and it can be annoying when they don’t appreciate and don’t remember where they were coming from.
He says fame and fortune are very difficult to manage. According to him when somebody that didn’t see N20,000 yesterday starts seeing N4 million per show, he’s going to quickly forget Kenny and D-One but he thanks God that the label is still relevant.
