Mba jets out to Angola

Nigerian international, Sunday Mba has departed for Angola ahead of Sunday’s second leg, second round Caf Champions League clash against Angolan club, Recreativo do Libolo.
The Rangers’ contingent travelled on Thursday without Mba on Thursday who was held up as a result of irregularities with his travel papers.
However, the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has now confirmed that the irregularities have been sorted out with the player now set to leave for Angola today.
“Mba had problems with his papers but I can confirm that he has now received his international passport and a visa from the Angolan embassy. He is now free to travel for the game,” NFF technical committee chairman, Barrister Chris Green told supersport.com.
The 24-year-old has been a subject of an intense transfer battle between Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) clubs, Warri Wolves and Enugu Rangers.
He now believes the issues are behind him as he is set power Rangers to a place in the group stages of the CAF Champions League.
“I am preparing to travel to Angola. I will be travelling to Angola very early on Saturday morning via an Arik Airline.
“It is a direct flight that will last three hours. I have gone through a lot in the past months but I am a professional and right now, all I am looking forward to is to play again.
“I will be the happiest man in the world if I can help Rangers win and qualify for the group stages of the competition,” Mba exclusively told supersport.com.
The first leg game between Rangers and Wolves ended in a goalless draw.
Today’s game at the Estadio Municipal de Calulo, Angola kicks off at 3pm.
